FAQ

Will we really not lose any light with a Hard-Top pergola?

The essence of louvered pergolas is that in winter they let the sun pass through the louvers onto the terrace and through the windows into the house. The Hard-Top pergola has the widest louvers (as much as 30 cm), which are proven to let in by far the most light (over 80%) when desired.

The Hard-Top pergola can withstand up to 1 meter of snow, which means you don’t need to open the louvers during snowfall – your terrace will always stay dry in winter. You can also open the louvers even if there is still some snow on the pergola – if there is too much, the electronics will automatically prevent motor overload. This ensures that using the pergola is always safe for the mechanism, even in the very rare cases when the louvers freeze.

Our louver system does not require seals that deteriorate over time. Watertightness between the louvers is achieved when the motor presses one louver tightly against the next.

The Hard-Top pergola is the only self-cleaning pergola on the market. This means that water flows from one louver to the next, all the way to the final gutter. Rain washes away dirt, leaves, and dust into the gutter and then into the drain. A mesh is installed at the drain to catch larger debris (leaves, needles, etc.).

After submitting your inquiry, we will send you an informative offer within 48 hours. If you are interested in proceeding, we arrange a site visit where our consultant will listen to your wishes and address any questions. Once the details are agreed and the order confirmed, we send a surveyor for final measurements. The surveyor then prepares a plan, which we send you for review. After you approve the plan, production begins. When the pergola is manufactured, it is powder-coated, and installation is carried out by a team of three experienced installers (usually within one day). After installation, our consultant visits you again for the handover, during which you also receive the warranty certificate. The entire process typically takes between one and three months – depending on the agreement.

Each Hard-Top pergola is custom-made, allowing us to adapt the shape to your wishes. We also manufacture triangular and trapezoidal pergolas.

Before the façade work is carried out, we can install custom-made anchors or brackets into the wall, tailored to the thickness of your façade. If you are not yet certain about purchasing a Hard-Top pergola before the façade is completed, you can order only the installation of anchors or brackets. It is also recommended to prepare a standard electrical supply cable in the wall.

The most common dimensions for a pergola or terrace range between 15 and 25 square meters. A pergola measuring 3 x 5.5 m already provides enough space for a large table for 6 to 8 people. A pergola measuring 3.5 x 6 m will also offer space for an outdoor kitchen.

Everything, except separate section opening of the louvers, can be added later. The most common retrofits include ZIP screens, brise-soleil, glass or panel sliding walls, and ceiling fans…

Of course – in addition to Slovenia, we also carry out installations throughout Croatia and in Austria.

The Hard-Top pergola can withstand up to 1 meter of snow and strong gusts of hurricane-force winds. It is also resistant to hail up to 4 cm without visible damage.

he price depends on the size, complexity of design and installation, location of the building, and additional equipment. Final prices start from €750/m², including consulting, installation, and long-term support.

We say the Hard-Top pergola is self-cleaning because the louvers have no transverse grooves where dirt (dust, leaves, needles, etc.) can accumulate. When it rains, water flows from one louver to the next into the final gutter. With other pergolas, the transverse grooves must be cleaned constantly, while the Hard-Top pergola works efficiently without special maintenance.

Each Hard-Top pergola is entirely manufactured in Slovenia, by the family-owned company Inoxvrbovšek from Laško.

The Hard-Top pergola is fully walkable. You can walk on any part of the structure – even across the middle of the louvers. This is yet another reason why we proudly claim it to be the structurally strongest pergola on the market.
